Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Mantic website, interfaces, APIs, applications, documentation, developer tools, smart contract integrations, and any related products or services made available by or in connection with Mantic.

By accessing or using Mantic, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not access or use Mantic.

1. Nature of the Services

Mantic provides access to software, interfaces, APIs, developer tools, data services, documentation, and blockchain related infrastructure for interacting with prediction market functionality and other ecosystem components.

Certain components of Mantic may interact with open source smart contracts deployed on public blockchains. As commonly disclosed by major DeFi and crypto interfaces such as Aave, the interface provider may provide access to software and interface layers without controlling every third party service, blockchain network, or open source deployment involved in a user’s activity.

Mantic may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any portion of the services at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law.

2. Eligibility

You may use Mantic only if you are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law and your use of the services is not prohibited under the laws of your jurisdiction.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your access to and use of Mantic complies with all laws, regulations, sanctions regimes, and restrictions applicable to you. Major crypto services often state jurisdiction and sanctions related restrictions in their public terms or developer materials.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your own conduct when accessing or using Mantic.

You are responsible for maintaining control over your wallet, private keys, seed phrases, authentication credentials, devices, and accounts. You must not share your private keys or recovery credentials with any third party. Polymarket’s public documentation likewise emphasizes that losing private keys may lead to loss of access to funds.

You are responsible for reviewing transaction details before submitting any blockchain transaction, including token amounts, contract addresses, network selection, gas settings, wallet approvals, and other relevant parameters.

4. No Fiduciary or Investment Relationship

Mantic does not provide investment advice, brokerage services, financial advice, legal advice, tax advice, or fiduciary services through the services unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement.

Any information made available through Mantic, including market data, pricing information, analytics, forecasts, articles, documentation, or educational materials, is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, enter, exit, or refrain from any transaction or market activity.

5. Protocol and Market Risk

Prediction markets, blockchain transactions, token based systems, and decentralized applications involve substantial risk.

These risks may include smart contract risk, market volatility, low liquidity, oracle disputes, interface outages, network congestion, failed transactions, irreversible transactions, software bugs, governance changes, price slippage, market manipulation attempts, regulatory changes, tax consequences, sanctions restrictions, and losses arising from user error or third party services.

Mantic makes no representation or warranty that any market, protocol feature, token, interface, or ecosystem activity will perform as expected or remain continuously available. Polymarket publicly states that trading involves substantial risk of loss.

6. No Guarantee of Availability

Mantic does not guarantee that the services will be available at all times or free from interruption, delay, defects, security incidents, malicious code, or operational failures.

Access may be interrupted due to maintenance, upgrades, traffic, infrastructure provider failures, blockchain issues, security events, force majeure events, sanctions screening, geoblocking, compliance measures, or other causes beyond Mantic’s control.

7. Third Party Services

Mantic may integrate with or depend on third party services, including wallets, blockchains, RPC providers, oracles, analytics tools, bridges, exchanges, cloud infrastructure, payment tools, identity tools, and other external systems.

Mantic does not control these third party services and is not responsible for their availability, performance, legality, privacy practices, fees, terms, or security. Your use of third party services is subject to their respective terms and policies. This approach is expressly reflected in Aave’s public terms.

8. Intellectual Property and License

Subject to these Terms, Mantic grants you a limited, non exclusive, non transferable, revocable license to access and use the services for lawful purposes.

Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape in an abusive manner, interfere with, or create derivative works from the services, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law or the relevant components are open source under their own licenses.

Any trademarks, branding, logos, interface elements, documentation, and non open source content associated with Mantic remain the property of their respective owners unless otherwise stated.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You must not use Mantic to engage in unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, manipulative, deceptive, sanctioned, harmful, or technically disruptive conduct.

This includes attempting to exploit vulnerabilities, circumvent restrictions, interfere with the services, manipulate markets, overload APIs, use bots in violation of platform rules, impersonate others, submit false information, infringe rights, or facilitate illegal activity.

Mantic may investigate suspected misuse and may restrict or terminate access where appropriate.

10. No Custody

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Mantic does not take custody of user assets.

You remain solely responsible for assets held in your wallet, for blockchain transactions you authorize, and for approvals or permissions granted to smart contracts or third party tools.

11. Airdrops, Incentives, and Testnet Participation

Any points, simulations, rankings, testnet rewards, community incentives, ecosystem recognition programs, or similar features made available by Mantic may be modified, suspended, reinterpreted, reduced, expanded, or discontinued at any time.

Unless expressly stated in binding written terms, no point balance, activity score, leaderboard position, testnet participation, or ecosystem engagement creates a guaranteed right to receive tokens, airdrops, listings, distributions, governance rights, or economic rewards.

This clause is important for testnet and community campaigns because large crypto projects typically preserve discretion over reward structures and eligibility.

12. Disclaimers

The services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Mantic disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, or that the services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mantic and its affiliates, contributors, team members, contractors, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, opportunities, digital assets, tokens, or business interruption arising out of or related to your access to or use of the services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mantic and its affiliates, contributors, team members, contractors, licensors, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the services, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of rights, or your misuse of the platform.
